Your CMJ London jewellery is designed to last — but a little care goes a long way. Follow these tips to keep your pieces looking their best for years to come.

Leather Care

Avoid contact with water, perfumes, sun oils, and chemicals — these can damage or stain leather.
If something spills on your bracelet, remove it immediately before it has a chance to soak in.
To clean, use a mild professional leather cleaner or gentle soap:
- Create suds in a bowl (use only the suds, not the water).
- Apply with a soft, lint-free cloth, ensuring the cloth is damp, not wet.
- Wipe gently, then dry with a clean cloth and allow to air dry fully.
Apply a leather conditioner to protect against spills and restore softness. This also helps resist water and humidity.
⚠️ Note: Nappa and bright-coloured leathers may darken when treated with conditioner.

Cork Care

Cork is naturally water-resistant, lightweight, and durable, but it still needs a little care:

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or dust.
For a deeper clean, use mild soap with water, applied sparingly with a cloth — avoid soaking.
Do not expose cork jewellery to harsh chemicals, oils, or perfumes.
Allow to dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight.
Like leather, cork should be stored separately to avoid friction against harder materials.

Gemstone Care

Avoid direct contact with perfume, oils, or chemicals — these can damage natural gemstones.
When putting on your bracelet, roll it gently over your hand rather than stretching it, to protect the elastic.
After wearing, wipe gently with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oils and maintain shine.

Silver Care

Sterling silver will naturally tarnish over time.
Use a jewellery polishing cloth to restore brightness and sparkle when needed.

Gold Care

Gold is the only precious metal that does not tarnish.
The higher the carat, the softer the metal — we recommend wearing jewellery of similar carat together.
To keep gold clasps and accents looking their best, clean regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Storing Your Jewellery

Store jewellery in the satin pouch provided or in a fabric-lined jewellery box.
Keep pieces away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
Do not store leather or cork jewellery in contact with other leather items to prevent colour transfer or marking.
